Our New Addition

We always knew that one day we would have a Grand Piano. Wayne says it is easier to be more creative and inspired on a grand piano. So now that we have a house that will fit such an instrument, there wasn't anything holding Wayne back.

We had tried quite a few pianos on our last couple of trips up to Calgary. (There is not much to choose from here in Lethbridge). Wayne was the main "test driver". He sampled Yamaha, Boston, Steinway & Sons, Baldwin, and others, but none of them compared to the Hai Lun. This is a Chinese made grand piano with the engineering of Steinway behind it. It is the new 'up and coming' line of grand pianos! The sound was amazing, the tone was great and the touch was the one that Wayne fell in love with.

So a month ago, he ordered one. A 7 ft. 2 in. concert grand piano in black ebony. The dealer here in town gave him a really great deal that he could not refuse. They found one in Kentucky and had it shipped up here to Lethbridge.

On Monday, we finally got it moved into our house after a week or so of tuning down at the music shop.

Our "piano room" has gone from this...

To This...

We have been very blessed that Wayne has a great job that allows us to gain such magificent pieces of art and furniture as this is. I know it will be lovingly played by many hands for numerous years to come.

Daniel would so love to have a grand! We've joked about turning our living room into the piano room and only having a grand and a couple of sitting chairs....one day that dream will come true..maybe.
